It is with great sadness we advise the passing of our dear friend and much-loved coach Bill Jacob on Saturday 22nd August, 2020.
Bill Jacob was a gentle, giving and caring person and will be remembered to many of us at our club as a very dedicated coach, spending many of his hours at his second home Jubilee Park doing what he loved, coaching and spending time with kids and parents. His jovial approach to life was infectious and was dearly loved and respected by children and parents not only from our Club but from far afield.
To us at Kooringal-Wagga Athletics Club Bill will not only be remembered as a very valued and loved coach for our Club. Bill’s unsurpassed dedication to athletics was applaudable and he played a significant and instrumental role in founding Athletics in Wagga back in the early 80’s and in 1988 when the Kooringal-Wagga Athletics Club was Incorporated Bill was the club’s founding President.
Our sincere condolences and thoughts go out to all of the Jacob family, especially wife Robin, daughters Ruth and Sarah and all the grandchildren.
Bill will be dearly missed and will be forever in our hearts
